User Quadrant

The User Quadrant features functionality related to notifications, user profiles and project modules. The main element of the User Quadrant is the Profile Bar located at the top right hand side of the screen which houses icons of the features available in the User Quadrant.

Notifications

The first feature of the Profile Bar is the Notifications icon. Notifications are represented with the bell icon and a small counter that displays the number of unread system notifications.

Clicking on the bell icon will open the Notifications Panel that contains a list of all system notifications sorted to have the newest messages on top. These notifications can be anything from notifying you of data publisher disconnections, scenario switches or system errors. Notifications can be cleared by clicking on the clear button on the bottom left side of the Notifications Panel as seen below:

Modules

The second component of the Profile Bar is the Modules component. You can view a status list of all available modules by clicking on the Modules icon. This will open the Modules Panel below the Profile Bar (see Figure 16 below). A list of Modules will be displayed with their statuses. Active modules will appear in the green 'Ready' section, while inactive or busy modules will appear in the 'Setups' section. You can activate a Module Setup by clicking on the play icon on the corresponding line.

Lead/Follow

The next component of the Profile Bar is the Lead/Follow component. Clicking on the Lead/Follow icon will open another small panel with lead and follow toggles (see Figure 17 below). By selecting the Lead checkbox other users logged into the same project will follow your interactions with the user interface. If you select the Follow checkbox your user interface will copy the interactions of the user who has selected the Lead role.

For example: If I as the lead user move to another location on the map with my user interface, those that have follow checked will also move to that location on the map.

User Profile

The User Profile is the next component in the User Quadrant. This function of this component is to give the user options to customize their experience when using the interface. Clicking on the User Icon in the Profile Bar will open the User Profile Panel as illustrated in Figure 18. From here you can modify your user specific settings such which color theme you would like to use (Dark/Light) or the units of measurement you wish to use (Metric/Imperial). This component will be expanded to include more features in a later version of the Web Interface.
