User account and the portal

Access to Urban Strategy is managed trough a web portal, the url of the portal can be requested from your Urban Strategy administrator or via support@scenexus.com. A personal user account is required to login to the portal. The following screencast shows how to register a new account, login and open a Urban Strategy project.

After login, and based on the access granted to your account, the Urban Strategy projects are listed on the page. Access to certain projects can be requested from your Urban Strategy administrator or via support@scenexus.com.

There are two different modes to open a project:

Edit mode: enables to start simulation modules, place controls and build scenario's. Edit mode can be opened by one user at a time. When someone has the session opened in edit mode, the button will change from 'Open' to 'Takeover'. Pressing 'Takeover' allows you to takeover the session in edit mode. However, this will cause the session of the previous user to switch to view mode.
View mode: enables to view results only, no edits or simulation runs can be made. An unlimited number of users can open the project in view mode at the same time, by pressing the 'View' button.

When in edit mode, make sure to always close the webinterface with the close button in the top-right-corner. This will close the webinterface and all calculation models, freeing up space on the machine for other users. After correctly closing the webinterface the 'takeover' button in the portal will switch back to 'open'.

Access the portal in your browser
If you don’t have an account, please register an account
Login to the portal
Open a project in Edit Mode
Check the portal to see the button changed in ‘takeover’
Close the browser, to see the button in the portal change to ‘continue’
Close the project, such that the button in the portal is set back to ‘open’
